A long-established and forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking an AAT Level 4 qualified Accounts Assistant or Trainee Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their accounting career to gain practical experience in a supportive and technically strong environment.
You'll be part of a small, low-turnover team working with a broad portfolio of clients, from sole traders to owner-managed businesses. The firm prides itself on combining personalised client service with the use of modern systems, including Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
Role Responsibilities
Prepare year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.Assist with VAT returns, bookkeeping and basic tax compliance.Work with cloud-based accounting platforms (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage).Liaise with clients and respond to day-to-day queries.Support more senior team members and participate in internal projects.Personal Requirements
