Wantage | 3-Month Contract initially | £16.41ph

My client, a large international manufacturing organisation based in Wantage, is looking for a Payroll Assistant to join their busy payroll team on an initial 3-month contract.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with payroll or finance administration experience to gain exposure within a global business and play a key role in supporting the accurate and timely delivery of payroll services.

Key responsibilities

Supporting the preparation and processing of monthly payrollMaintaining payroll records, including starters, leavers, salary changes, and deductionsProcessing overtime, bonuses, expenses, and statutory paymentsResponding to employee payroll queries and providing excellent customer serviceAssisting with payroll compliance, reporting, and year-end activitiesSupporting payroll system administration and data management

Key skills required

Previous experience in payrollUnderstanding of UK payroll processes and legislationStrong attention to detail and data accuracyGood Excel and IT skillsExcellent organisational and communication skillsA proactive and team-focused approach

In return, youll gain valuable experience within a well-established international organisation, working alongside an experienced payroll team in a fast-paced and supportive environment. Initially a 3-month period to support a busy period within the business but could be extended to a longer period and possibly made permanent.
