A growing, client-focused practice built on transparency, quality and technology is seeking a highly experienced accountant to manage bookkeeping, VAT, CIS and accounts preparation for its clients. The right candidate may take on elements of team coordination, job planning and client management, with opportunities for growth into a managerial role.
Role Responsibilities
Prepare, review and sign-off VAT returns, CIS returns and final accounts (corporate & sole traders).Manage and coordinate workflow for bookkeeping and accounts assignments (as needed).Act as a client point of contact: meetings, calls and problem resolution.Support and mentor junior staff or trainees, where applicable.Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax rules and deadlines.Liaise with HMRC/ tax authorities on client matters as required.Assist with process improvements and adoption of accounting software.Personal Requirements
Qualified/ part-qualified (ACCA/ ACA/ AAT)Strong practical experience in bookkeeping, VAT, CIS and accounts preparationPrevious experience managing or supervising staff and coordinating work desirable but not essentialConfident in client-facing settings, with excellent communication skillsWell organised, proactive and detail-orientedComfortable with cloud accounting software.If you are a dedicated accounting professional with practice experience and enjoy client-facing work, we want to hear from you.
