Due to continued expansion, they are looking to add at least one, possibly two, Semi Senior Accountants to their team in Staffordshire.Your New Role as Semi Senior Accountant: This role is ideal for an aspiring professional looking to build on their practice experience while supporting a varied client portfolio. You will be responsible for preparing financial statements, management accounts, VAT returns, and corporation tax computations, while also assisting senior team members with compliance tasks. Additionally, you will liaise directly with clients, offering financial insights and resolving queries, while reviewing work prepared by junior staff.Main Responsibilities: As a Semi Senior Accountant, you will: Prepare financial statements for limited companies (FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A, and FRS 105) and some sole traders/partnershipsPrepare corporation tax computations and self-assessment tax returnsPrepare monthly/quarterly management accountsPrepare VAT returns and provide client bookkeeping servicesLiaise with clients to resolve queries and provide financial insightsAssist senior team members with audit and compliance tasksReview work prepared by junior staff and provide constructive feedbackStay up to date with changes in accounting standards and regulationsThe Experience & Qualifications Required: The successful candidate will be AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACA/ACCA, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an accountancy practice. Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102 (including Section 1A) is essential, along with proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite. You should also have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Your Reward & The Package On Offer: As a Semi Senior Accountant, you can expect a competitive salary between £27,000 - £30,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
