Butler Rose Practice is delighted to be supporting a newly established and ambitious accountancy firm based in Kidderminster. The firm is built on a strong growth mindset, committed to helping both clients and employees reach their full potential.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be mentored directly by the firm's director, allowing for significant personal and professional development. In addition to your core responsibilities, you will also have the chance to gain exposure to business development and broader advisory work.

Role Requirements -

Preparation of accounts for limited companies in accordance with FRS 102, FRS 102 1A, and FRS 105, as well as for sole traders and partnerships.Preparation of group consolidated accounts (desirable but not essential).Preparation of corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.Submission of quarterly and monthly VAT returns.Bookkeeping using client software (Xero preferred, but experience with various platforms is beneficial).Preparation of management accounts.Processing of monthly and weekly payroll (desirable but not essential).Managing a portfolio of clients, including direct communication and advisory responsibilities.

Personal Requirements -

3 to 5 years of experience in practice.Fully qualified, nearly qualified, or qualified by experience.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with clients and external stakeholders.Proficient in Microsoft 365 and familiar with a range of accounting software, including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage 50, and Sage Cloud.Experience with CCH for accounts and tax production (desirable but not essential).Understanding of client onboarding procedures, including AML and KYC compliance.Willingness to contribute to other areas of the business such as networking, marketing, or social media initiatives.

Role Requirements -

Reviewing the audit and accounts planning, managing the field work process and finalising audits of corporate clients complying with technical and professional standardsTaking the lead throughout on-site fieldwork and audit project management to ensure delivery of a high-quality product for manager review, or directly for partner review.Preparing and/or reviewing the UK corporation tax returns and supporting computations of corporate clientsWorking with audit partners on one off assignments in other areas, for example corporate finance and forensic accountingWorking on ad hoc technical projects from time to timeLiaising with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further information.Working closely with Partners and Manager, advising them on any outstanding issuesMentoring new trainees and assisting with their growth with proactive on the job training and feedback to the management team.Developing and maintaining good client relationsAppraising members of the audit team or assisting managers and partners to appraise staff you work with on each individual assignment, including six monthly reviews.Involvement with the training and mentoring of the team members in the audit team

Person Requirements -

ACA Exam qualified or approaching final examsExperience of external audits of small and medium sized enterprises under UK GAAPKnowledge of Caseware and Alphatax software packages would be advantageous but not essentialExperience of delivering results and adding value to clients.Experience of large consolidations would be advantageous
