The Opportunity

Butler Rose is recruiting for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join a busy finance team on a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract in Barrow-in-Furness.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement are key. You'll play an important role in ensuring supplier invoices are processed efficiently, payments are made on time, and financial controls are maintained across the purchase-to-pay process.

Working alongside an experienced Accounts Payable Lead, you'll also contribute to system improvements and help drive greater automation within the finance function.

The Role

You'll be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of the Accounts Payable function while working closely with suppliers, operational teams, and colleagues across the wider finance department.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcess supplier invoices through an automated Accounts Payable system, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.Post invoices directly into SAP where manual intervention is required.Apply VAT knowledge when validating and processing invoices.Run payment proposals and process payment postings accurately within SAP.Monitor and reconcile supplier accounts, investigating and resolving outstanding queries.Analyse aged creditor reports to support supplier management and cash flow activities.Manage the shared Accounts Payable inbox, responding to supplier and internal queries promptly.Support testing, upgrades, and continuous improvements to Accounts Payable systems.Assist with process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and automation.Complete monthly control activities and compliance reporting.Provide additional support across the wider finance team as required.About You

You'll be a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional with strong organisational skills and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and suppliers.

Essential Skills & ExperiencePrevious experience working within a busy Accounts Payable environment.Experience using SAP.Strong reconciliation and invoice processing experience.Good understanding of VAT in relation to Accounts Payable.Experience preparing reports and maintaining accurate financial records.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and SharePoint.Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with internal stakeholders and suppliers.DesirableExperience using Medius or another Accounts Payable automation system would be advantageous.Understanding of purchase-to-pay processes.Experience supporting finance systems testing or process improvements.Relevant finance qualifications are welcome but practical experience is the priority.Why Apply?

Onshore Planner

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Onshore Planner to join a busy operational team on a full-time, two-year fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity for a planner with experience in complex industrial or engineering environments who enjoys coordinating operational activities, improving planning processes, and working closely with cross-functional teams.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring maintenance and operational work is effectively planned, prioritised, and ready for execution, helping to support safe, reliable, and efficient asset performance.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain short and medium-term operational plans, including 28-day and three-month planning cycles.Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure activities are fully coordinated.Prioritise work in line with safety, operational integrity, and production requirements.Ensure work scopes are clearly defined and prepared before execution, identifying and resolving potential constraints.Support longer-term planning by contributing to forward workload and resource planning.Monitor planning performance, including schedule adherence and plan compliance, using KPIs to drive continuous improvement.Identify opportunities to streamline planning processes and improve operational efficiency.Provide planning support across wider asset operations when required, ensuring a smooth transition from planning through to delivery.Communicate priorities, risks, and resource requirements clearly across operational teams.

About You

You'll be an organised and proactive planner with strong technical planning skills and the confidence to work with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced operational environment.

Essential Skills & Experience

Significant experience in integrated planning within an operational or industrial environment.Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and SAP.Experience of project planning and project controls, including scheduling, cost awareness, risk management, and change control.Excellent analytical and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining high planning standards.A strong commitment to safe working practices and continuous improvement.

Desirable

A technical qualification or background in engineering, maintenance, or project management.Experience working within energy, manufacturing, engineering, or other asset-intensive industries.
