You will be responsible for preparations of accountancy and audit work, providing effective support for both Manager and Partner, and ensuring the continued development of less senior staff within the team. Role ResponsibilitiesDealing with complex accounting issues as required.Ensuring the accounts file is complete and ready for review by Manager or direct by Partner as required.Preparation of management accounts on larger clients.Review of assistant team members' work, identifying training needs, and providing both positive and constructive feedback.Follow Practice procedures including budgets, accounts preparation processes, workplan and Digita trackers.Providing effective support for both Partner and Manager by taking on additional tasks and meeting deadlines.Commercially aware in terms of undertaking tasks and preparing accounts and audit in a cost effective mannerPreparation of corporation tax computations, and liaising with the tax department as necessary on complicated or unusual adjustments.Managing assistant team members by delegating work to the appropriate support member, training and developing other team members in a supportive manner.Carry out any other duty which may be required in line with business requirements.Personal RequirementsQualified or recently qualified ACCA or ACA with at least 5 years Practice Experience.Good communication skills.Good knowledge of Accounting disclosures including FRS102 and IFRS.Good knowledge of Audit regulations for statutory audits.Preparation of Group and Consolidated Accounts.IT literacy and solid accounting skills.Good writing skills in respect of accounts reports and other documents generated for clients and internal purposes.BenefitsWork From Home OptionsLife InsuranceEnhanced Pension SchemeEnd of Year BonusTOIL and Paid OvertimeFull Study SupportEarly Finish FridayEnhanced AHOL scheme plus time off at ChristmasPaid parkingIf you're looking for a career where your skills and dedication are valued, we'd love to hear from you. You will provide accounting services to a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. Role ResponsibilitiesTo review the work undertaken by the Accounts Assistants and provide timely feedback on all jobs undertaken and where necessary assist with additional training.To prepare VAT controls, PAYE controls and other more complex areas.To prepare draft annual accounts.Knowledge of the current reporting legislation in respect of the accounting standards and to prepare disclosure checklists to ensure compliant. (FRS105 and FRS102-1a).To ensure that the accounting working papers have been correctly prepared.Undertake an analytical review of the balance sheet and profit and loss account to ensure the figures appear sensible and provide notes for the reviewer on your assessment. To provide queries for the reviewer to help them review the file efficiently.To prepare draft tax computations for corporate clients for review by the tax manager.To prepare schedules and controls needed for management accounts. To analyse the figures included in the management accounts and to highlight unusual patterns or ratios.To prepare written communication to send to or verbally communicate with our clients to obtain information to complete the accounts preparation process and to deal with any queries raised.To review the schedules prepared for VAT returns and communicate with the client in respect of their liability and submit the relevant return by the deadline date. Ensure that timely feedback is provided to the preparer of the VAT schedules on all assignments.To complete and aid with the preparation of statutory work ensuring completed correctly and filed within the correct time limits.In respect of audit clients to follow the instructions and plan provided by the Audit Manager of the assignment.
