This role is ideal for an individual with experience in processing transactions for a portfolio of clients and working to deadlines. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of bookkeeping tasks and will work closely with clients to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

Enter sales and purchase invoices into the accounting systemRecord and reconcile bank, cash, credit card, and PayPal transactionsPrepare and/or review Construction Industry Scheme (CIS) submissionsAssist clients with bookkeeping-related queries and offer guidance as neededLiaise with HMRC to reconcile VAT and PAYE control accountsPost month-end journals such as payroll, depreciation, accruals, and prepaymentsPrepare and submit VAT returns, including VAT schemes
