Butler Rose Leadership are delighted to be supporting a well-established and highly regarded multi-site organisation in Cumbria as they seek to appoint an IT Manager to lead the operational delivery of IT services across the Group.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a business experiencing significant growth and investment, where technology is recognised as a key enabler of future success. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day management, performance and development of the Group's IT function across multiple locations.
Managing a team of three IT professionals, this role is ideally suited to an experienced IT Manager, Infrastructure Manager or Senior IT Engineer looking for the next step in their career and a genuine springboard into a broader leadership position within the next 18-24 months.
The Opportunity
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth, secure and effective operation of the Group's IT infrastructure, systems and support services, delivering a high-quality service to users across multiple sites.
Working closely with stakeholders across the organisation, you will oversee operational IT delivery, drive service improvements and ensure the IT function evolves in line with the organisation's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day IT operation across a multi-site environment.Manage, mentor and develop a team of three IT professionals.Ensure the availability, performance and security of infrastructure, systems and networks.Oversee IT support services and maintain high levels of customer service across the organisation.Manage relationships with external suppliers, partners and third-party support providers.Lead on IT procurement activities and ensure value for money across technology investments.Support cyber security initiatives, disaster recovery planning and business continuity processes.Monitor IT performance and identify opportunities for service improvement and operational efficiencies.Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business requirements and align IT delivery accordingly.Support infrastructure upgrades, system implementations and technology projects as the business continues to expand.Assist with budget management and IT expenditure planning.About You
We are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
Previous experience managing IT operations within a multi-site environment.Experience leading or supervising technical teams.Strong infrastructure knowledge across Microsoft technologies, networks, servers and cloud platforms.A good understanding of cyber security best practice and IT governance.Experience managing third-party suppliers and service providers.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.A proactive and commercially minded approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.Ambition to progress into a broader IT leadership role in the near future.What's on Offer
