Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation to recruit a Credit Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional to join a collaborative team where you will take ownership of Credit Control and play a key role in maintaining healthy cash flow.
The RoleAs Credit Controller, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end accounts receivable and cash collection activities, ensuring timely payments and effective risk management across the customer ledger. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve queries and improve processes.

Butler Rose is seeking an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join a friendly accounts team of 8 for an 18-month maternity cover contract, starting in July. Interviews to be held in early June.
This role will see you take ownership of up to 1,000 accounts, managing invoices paid via a mix of Direct Debit, on receipt and occasionally by credit card. You'll work closely with the sales team, building strong relationships with customers and clients while ensuring debts are collected efficiently and debtor days are minimised.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the full credit control process for a large portfolio of accounts
* Ensure all the correct processes have been followed across B2B and B2C services that impact credit control.
* Review cancellations and refund requests from Account Managers prior to actioning.
* Ensure full invoicing has been completed, follow up with Account Managers.
* Monitor outstanding invoices and chase payments via phone, email and correspondence
* Reviewing cancellation requests with 3rd party payment providers and payments collected promptly within the agreed timeframes
* Liaise with the sales team to resolve account queries and support customer relationships
* Use Sageline 200 (experience advantageous) and Excel to maintain accurate records
* Identify areas for process improvement and take initiative to implement changes
We are looking for someone who:
* Is a confident self-starter with excellent initiative
* Can work independently as the sole charge of credit control
* Possesses strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Takes ownership and delivers results in a fast-paced environment
* Proficient in Microsoft Office package, especially Excel
* Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
* Experience in a similar role
