Role Requirements -
Fully experienced in all aspects of accounts preparation for: Sole traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies, Charities and not for profit organisations.Management accounts (preparation and overseeing)Bookkeeping (overseeing)Good working knowledge of accounts production softwareFully conversant with statutory disclosure requirementsGood audit experience (preferably running and managing company audits)Good rounded knowledge of various taxes, Corporation tax, Income tax, Capital Gains tax, VAT, CIS, PAYEGood working knowledge of tax softwareExperience in tax planning for individuals / businessesExperience of dealing with HMRC directly (handling enquiries)Managing staff, Running a team, Timetabling / setting budgets, Overseeing junior level staff work, Mentoring / trainingWorking alongside office manager and practice managerManaging clients, Responsible for handling a client's account with the practice, Direct communication and liaison, Holding face to face client meetingsPersonal Requirements -

This is a client-facing role offering responsibility for a diverse portfolio of around 100-200 clients, ranging from micro entities and SMEs to property and investment businesses across a wide variety of sectors. You'll become a trusted adviser to your clients, combining technical expertise with commercial insight while leading client meetings, developing junior team members and helping to grow both client relationships and the wider business. With a clear pathway to Associate Director, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step into a more strategic leadership role.
Role Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of approximately 100-200 clients, acting as their primary point of contact.Build long-term relationships by providing proactive business and tax advice.Advise clients on business growth, tax efficiency and future planning.Hold regular client meetings to review performance, discuss opportunities and set strategic objectives.Identify opportunities to expand services and strengthen existing client relationships.Take a commercial approach to portfolio development and business growth.Oversee the full client lifecycle, including quotations, engagement renewals, invoicing and payment arrangements.Review accounts and compliance work prepared by junior team members.Mentor, coach and support junior staff while working alongside an offshore bookkeeping team.Ensure work is completed to a high technical standard and within statutory deadlines.Report on portfolio performance and internal targets to the Directors.Contribute ideas to improve client service, processes and the overall growth of the business.Personal Requirements
