This is a full-time, permanent opportunity working a rotating three-shift pattern.
Shift pattern (alternating weekly):
Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00Hours per week: 37.5
This is a fantastic opportunity for a time-served Maintenance Technician to join a forward-thinking team and play a key role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of essential plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Rapidly troubleshoot breakdowns and implement measures to prevent repeat occurrences.Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings to carry out fault finding and system modifications.Execute planned and preventative maintenance using a Maintenance Management System.Contribute to reliability improvement initiatives across the site.Maintain high EHS standards, keeping the work area clean, safe and compliant.Continuously develop skills through ongoing training and development.Undertake both electrical and mechanical tasks including fabrication, welding, and minor installations.Essential Requirements:
Completed a time-served apprenticeship with a minimum Level 3 qualification (BTEC, City & Guilds or equivalent).Recent hands-on experience in a multiskilled maintenance role, with strong skills across electrical, pneumatic/hydraulic systems, fabrication, and welding.Competent in interpreting technical diagrams and fault-finding on control panels.Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces (medical assessment required).Confident using computers and familiar with standard office software.Proactive and resilient with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.Capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a shift team.Desirable: Experience in vacuum technology, though not essential.
