A growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice is seeking an Administrator to join its Stevenage office. This is a key support role within a busy professional services environment, providing administrative assistance to Partners and Managers while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office. The successful candidate will play an important part in delivering an excellent client experience, supporting new client onboarding, preparing correspondence, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with reception duties.
Role Responsibilities
Set up new clients across internal systems and with HMRC.Process anti-money laundering (AML) checks and compliance requirements.Prepare and issue professional correspondence to clients.Generate reports from the firm's accounting software.Provide reception cover, welcoming clients and visitors to the office.Answer telephone enquiries and assist clients with payment-related queries.Support Partners and Managers with a range of administrative tasks.Maintain accurate client records and ensure confidential information is handled securely.Assist with the efficient day-to-day operation of the office.Deliver a high standard of client service at all times.Personal Requirements
Previous administration experience, ideally within an accountancy, legal or professional services environment.Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Teams.Experience with Xero would be advantageous but is not essential.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Professional, friendly and customer-focused approach.Able to prioritise multiple tasks and work accurately under pressure.Comfortable learning new systems and processes.Trustworthy with confidential information.Proactive, adaptable and committed to delivering high-quality work.A collaborative team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.Benefits
