Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting a well-established firm in Coventry with the appointment of a Senior Tax Adviser.

Oversee tax projects such as corporate reorganisations, employee share schemes, and incorporations. Implement strategies to reduce tax liabilities and identify planning opportunities, while ensuring compliance with legislation and ethical standards. Manage project timelines, review team work, and provide clients with strategic advice and clear communication throughout each project.

Role Requirements:
* Project planning - Oversee and assist with preparation of detailed project plans for restructures.
* Project execution - Manage project completion, including instructing solicitors, filing with HMRC, and communicating with stakeholders.
* Tax analysis - Prepare step plans and comprehensive tax analysis, documenting implications with reference to legislation and case law.
* Review team work - Check work of Tax Advisers and Junior Tax Advisers to ensure compliance and optimal client outcomes.
* Client relationship management - Maintain strong relationships through positive and professional interactions.
* Provide tax advice - Deliver accurate and comprehensive advice tailored to client needs.
* Delivery and compliance - Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within budget, and meet statutory deadlines.
* Confidentiality and integrity - Handle sensitive information with discretion and uphold ethical standards.
* Team development - Coach, mentor, and support Tax Advisers and junior staff to develop technical knowledge.
* Continuous improvement & financial responsibility - Suggest process improvements and contribute to maximising revenue, cost savings, and efficient expenditure.

Personal Requirements:
* High level of expertise in all relevant direct taxes in transactional context, including
Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp taxes, Inheritance Tax, Employment taxes etc.
* Excellent communication and verbal skills at all different levels to include presentations, with the ability to self-motivate and respond to clients.
* Excellent attention to detail and a process driven approach, using the firms internal checklists to ensure accuracy and consistency.
* The ability to use the firm's resources to research and provide expert advice on complex tax matters, outside of the day-to-day transactions.
* Excellent client service.
* CTA qualified or equivalent.
* Keen attitude to learning and growing your knowledge.
