Finance Business Partner - Distribution or Logistics preferred background
Milton Keynes
ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
up to £500 Umbrella Rate (PAYE comparable available) - role Inside IR35
Hybrid and open to days in office -1 day needed ideally
6 month interim assignment during very busy time
We need someone with emphasis on the detail rather than the strategic elements - a self starting problem solver
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with business leaders, serving as their trusted financial advisor in critical decision-making processes.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, building trust and credibility.
Analyse financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, forecasts, and budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Engage with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and operational efficiency.
Contribute to the development and implementation of financial strategies, policies, and procedures.
Conduct variance analysis and provide insightful commentary on financial results.
Support the preparation of business cases, financial models, and investment appraisals.
Assist with financial audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) is essential.
Proven experience preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
Solid understanding of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and reporting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Proficiency in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Strong business acumen and the ability to translate financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Detail-oriented, with a high degree of accuracy and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
This is predominantly a remote role - you will be required to be in the office once a week. Milton Keynes site - ideally some extra days in the office to start for handover would be appreciated
