Role Requirements -
As a Tax Assistant, you'll be supporting the firms busy tax department, working across a broad portfolio of clients including individuals, OMBS, SMEs, and larger corporate entities.
Assisting with the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns
Liaising with HMRC and clients to resolve queries
Supporting senior team members on tax planning and compliance projects
Maintaining accurate records and databases
Staying updated with tax legislation and industry developments

Person Requirements -
Ideally ATT/AAT part or fully qualified with at least 2+ years' experience working in a similar tax focused role with personal and corporate tax obligations working for a UK based firm.
Proficient in the use of various tax and accounting software g/tax software

The firm's personal tax portfolio comprises clients to include ultra and high net worth individuals, private equity partners, owner managed businesses ranging from small startups to large international groups, families, partnerships, international mobile individuals, and trusts.

Role Responsibilities -

Take ownership of your own portfolio and personal tax clients
Provide tax technical support in all personal tax matters, including income tax, CGT, Inheritance tax, and residence issues.
Provide consistent and quality client service including maintaining regular contact with clients.
Work on consultancy and advisory projects
Manage client matters and client queries on your own portfolio efficiently and effectively.
Supervise and assist with the technical development of junior members of staff.
Correspond with clients, tax authorities and third parties daily on a wide variety of personal and business tax matters.
Point of contact for tax queries from other departments within the firm and similarly, referring clients/client matters to other parts of the firm where appropriate.

Person Responsibilities -

ATT or CTA qualified with at least 4+ years' personal tax focused experience working for a prominent UK based firm in the capacity of Tax Senior or Assistant Manager.
Current knowledge of personal and business tax issues.
Excellent communication skills both written and oral.

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join a busy Corporate Tax Advisory team.

-As a dynamic Tax Advisory Assistant Manager, you will work closely with their regional Head of Tax, Partners, Directors, and team members to provide tax advisory services to a varied, corporate client base.

-You will focus a large part of your time in supporting and leading the team to deliver tax advisory services to existing and new corporate clients.

-You will assist in managing the tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conducting appraisals, providing coaching and mentoring to support their development. As part of your own development you will establish strong working relationships with your own portfolio of clients through assignments and regular contact, including attending client meetings.

As you will be a key member of the team, previous tax experience within practice is essential, however we will consider candidates coming from a compliance or advisory background- or a mix of both.

We are looking for someone with strong technical knowledge, the ability to carry out research into complex areas of tax legislation, manage complex projects and help up-skill the tax team.
