Butler Rose North Practice is supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice in West Yorkshire with the recruitment of a Senior Account Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.
Review statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, and personal tax returns.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive accounting, tax, and business advice.
Lead client meetings and identify opportunities to add value.
Manage workflow, deadlines, and service delivery across your portfolio.
Mentor and support junior accountants, providing technical guidance and coaching.
Assist clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and Dext.
Support practice growth through exceptional client service and business development activities.

Senior Accountant/Client Manager
Dudley
Salary £45,000 - £55,000 (DOE)

Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client a well-established medium size firm based in Dudley. Due to the growth of the firm an exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Accountant/Accounts Manager to join the team.

Role Requirements -

Fully experienced in all aspects of accounts preparation for: Sole traders, Partnerships, Limited Companies, Charities and not for profit organisations.Management accounts (preparation and overseeing)Bookkeeping (overseeing)Good working knowledge of accounts production softwareFully conversant with statutory disclosure requirementsGood audit experience (preferably running and managing company audits)Good rounded knowledge of various taxes, Corporation tax, Income tax, Capital Gains tax, VAT, CIS, PAYEGood working knowledge of tax softwareExperience in tax planning for individuals / businessesExperience of dealing with HMRC directly (handling enquiries)Managing staff, Running a team, Timetabling / setting budgets, Overseeing junior level staff work, Mentoring / trainingWorking alongside office manager and practice managerManaging clients, Responsible for handling a client's account with the practice, Direct communication and liaison, Holding face to face client meetings

Personal Requirements -

ACA, ACCA or QBE with experience within a practice environment.Previous experience managing a client portfolio.Excellent communication skills, highly organised with a proactive approach to problem solving.Knowledge of various accounting software.

The firm provides a full range of accounting, audit and tax services to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed and family businesses across Yorkshire.

Role Requirements -

Statutory & Management Accounts: Preparing statutory accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns for a varied portfolio of clients.Client Relationship Management: Acting as a key point of contact for clients, building relationships, and visiting client premises to provide accounting support.Technical Advisory: Assisting with tax compliance and advisory, such as reviewing corporation tax returns and conducting capital allowance reviews.Team Support & Mentoring: Assisting with the development of junior team members and working closely with Managers and Partners.Software Utilization: Utilizing technology and software, including ProAudit, IRIS, Xero and SAGE.

Personal Requirements -

Qualified ACA or ACCA (or exam finalist).At least five years of accounting experience, ideally within a practice environment.Experience in working with UK owner-managed and family businesses.Strong technical accounting skills, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Excel.
