Excited to be supporting an ambitious and growing investment group who specialise in the acquisition of small to medium enterprises in the recruitment of a Group Finance Manager.
Reporting to the CFO, and with the support of an accounts administrator you primarily be responsible to for the consolidation of accounts, budgets, and reporting for two FMCG / Retail entities, with core duties to include:
Be the key point of contact on financial and accounting matters.Prepare monthly management information relating to finance, sales, and performance against KPI'sManage all AP, AR (expense & invoice processing, payment runs, petty cash, credit control, sales) and Invoice FinancingEnsure all statutory requirements are met re. HMRC (VAT, PAYE, P11Ds, Annual Accounts)Monitor all bank deposits and payments.Manage and improve the month-end process (bank recs, balance sheet recs).Manage quarterly VAT returns.Manage monthly payroll process in liaison with external provider.Support statutory account preparation
To be successful in this role you will ideal be an experienced SME Finance Manager accustomed to the varying daily priorities of a growing SME. Demonstrable experience in the following areas is highly desirable:
Working with inventory, preferably in a retail / wholesale organisationUnderstand the dynamic of working in a small business / teamBe a self-starter who is comfortable working on their own initiative

Required Experience:
* Proven experience in an accounts payable role, processing high volumes of invoices.
* Housing experience and D365 system experience not essential but a definite benefit.
* Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is crucial with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral).
* Ability to take direction when required and work as part of a busy high-performing team to meet tight deadlines.
