Finance Assistant (Temp-to-Perm)

Butler Rose is delighted to be working with a rapidly growing and ambitious organisation to recruit an Finance Assistant on a temp-to-perm basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is looking to secure a long-term position within a supportive and fast-paced business.

Joining a busy finance team, you will play a key role in delivering a robust finance service to the wider organisation, supporting senior stakeholders and helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the finance function. This position would suit someone who enjoys working across a broad range of finance responsibilities and takes pride in delivering high levels of accuracy and customer service.

Key ResponsibilitiesManaging and monitoring the finance inbox, responding to queries and escalating issues where required.Administering the purchase order process, ensuring purchase orders are correctly matched to supplier invoices.Investigating and resolving purchase order discrepancies and supplier queries.Processing high volumes of supplier invoices accurately and efficiently onto the company's finance system.Preparing supplier payment runs and ensuring payments are made in line with agreed terms.Reconciling supplier statements and resolving outstanding balances.Acting as a key point of contact for supplier and customer finance-related queries.Setting up new suppliers and customers within the finance system.Performing bank reconciliations, including company credit card and expense account reconciliations.Supporting the monthly payroll process and pension administration.Managing employee expense claims and ensuring compliance with company procedures.Assisting with VAT preparation and submission activities.Supporting credit control processes, helping to ensure outstanding invoices are collected in a timely manner.Building strong working relationships across the business and providing finance support to non-financial stakeholders.About You

The successful candidate is likely to have:

Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger or similar transactional finance role.Strong purchase ledger and reconciliation experience.Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.A proactive and team-oriented attitude with a willingness to support wider finance activities.What's on Offer?Temp-to-perm opportunity with genuine long-term prospects.Immediate start available.Varied and interesting finance role with exposure across multiple areas of accounting.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Opportunity to join a growing organisation during an exciting period of development.
