Butler Rose is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing distribution business in the search for a Stock Controller / Supply Chain Administrator to join their team in Cullompton.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administration, stock control or supply chain experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, organisation and communication are key. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring stock availability, maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting supplier relationships across the business.

There is also the potential for career development with the opportunity to have procurement qualifications funded.

The Role

Reporting into the Supply Chain team, your responsibilities will include:

Forecasting stock requirements and placing supplier orders.Raising and processing purchase orders.Monitoring stock levels, allocations and back orders.Managing quarantine stock and short-dated inventory.Checking and processing incoming deliveries.Maintaining stock and purchasing systems accurately.Monitoring promotional activity and supplier buy-ins.Responding to stock-related queries from suppliers, customers and internal teams.Supporting the effective management of warehouse stock levels and stock value.Ensuring compliance with quality, health & safety and company procedures.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

Strong administration and organisational skills.Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Confident communication and interpersonal skills.The ability to build effective relationships with suppliers and colleagues.A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.Experience of stock control, purchasing or supply chain administration would be advantageous.Knowledge of supply chain operations would be beneficial but is not essential.
