A respected and expanding accountancy firm in Southend is on the lookout for a detail-focused tax professional to join their team. This position plays a pivotal role in handling individual tax affairs and offering bespoke advisory input to a broad client portfolio. You'll join a friendly and knowledgeable team where internal development and technical excellence are valued and rewarded.

Role Responsibilities

Oversee and finalise annual submissions for individual tax clients with minimal supervision required.Review work carried out by junior colleagues, offering constructive feedback and support.Assist with bespoke advisory work including capital transactions and tax relief applications.Handle HMRC communication involving more involved queries or clarifications.Help maintain consistent service levels across the team by supporting scheduling and workflow planning.Share technical knowledge and offer guidance to less experienced team members.

Personal Requirements

ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent experience).Previous experience working in a client-facing tax role within a professional firm.Comfortable juggling varied priorities and tight timelines.Naturally collaborative, with a willingness to contribute to the wider team's success.Strong verbal and written communication skills.
