Management Accountant

An independent accountancy practice with a broad range of clients is looking to appoint a Management Accountant to join its friendly and supportive team. This is a varied and client-facing role, ideal for someone looking to grow into an Assistant Manager position in the near future.

Role Responsibilities

Prepare regular management accounts for a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors.Act as the first point of contact for client queries, particularly relating to accounting software such as QuickBooks and Xero.Support and train clients on bookkeeping and software-related issues.Review bookkeeping and management accounts prepared by junior staff.Assist in onboarding new clients and maintaining high-quality client relationships.Collaborate with the wider team to improve internal processes.Provide ad hoc payroll cover during periods of absence or holiday.Contribute to the overall delivery of high-quality client service within the practice.

Personal Requirements

ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.Solid experience preparing management accounts within a UK accountancy practice.Confident using cloud-based accounting systems, especially QuickBooks and Xero.Proactive, organised, and able to take ownership of tasks.Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.Keen to progress into an Assistant Manager role with responsibility for reviewing files and mentoring others.
