Butler Rose Public Practice have again been instructed by our client, an award-winning Top 25 accounts, advisory and tax firm that are now recruiting for an ambitious individual to complement their successful and specialised financial services department in the capacity of either Audit Associate or Semi-Senior

Role Requirements -

Supporting a portfolio of clients within the financial services sector, carry out audits using a bespoke risk-based audit approach.Assist on larger clients, completing relevant sections of the audit file as discussed and agreed at the planning meeting.Act in more of a senior capacity on smaller clients reporting directly to the manager. For these particular audits, the individual would be responsible for the planning of the audit file right through to the completion sections including drafting the financial statements, the management letter and the letter of representation.As required, supervise and effectively delegate work to less experienced members of the audit team as agreed by the senior.Communicate with the audit senior regularly on the audit and make recommendations to them on how our clients can improve their accounting systems and controls.Appraise less experienced members of the audit team following completion of the jobs worked on with them.Work between the office and client premises (overnight stays may be required), with the ability to work from home where agreed.

Person Requirements -

Either an ACA or ACCA active studier with at least 2+ years' experience in either a pure or heavily focused audit role working for a prominent UK based firm in the capacity of Audit Associate/Trainee/Semi-senior.Experience with clients in the financial services sector would be advantageous but not essential.Confident is leading audit assignments for smaller clients from the initial planning phase through to completion.Previous experience of leading/reviewing the work of a small team would be desirable.Experience of Caseware or similar accounts production software would be highly desirable.

Butler Rose Public Practice have again been instructed by our client, an award-winning Top 25 firm of chartered accountants and tax advisors based in the City that are now recruiting for an ambitious Audit Senior to join their NFP/Charity sector department.

As an Audit Senior, you will be running and assisting on audits, in compliance with the firm's and statutory procedures, for a variety of clients across all the charity and not for profit sectors and sizes. You will have had experience of leading audits from the planning stage right through to the completion stage including supervision of staff within your audit team.

You will be familiar with and have an awareness of the laws and regulations that apply to accounting and audit and are required to ensure compliance. You will be in the process of studying for the ACA or ACCA or equivalent. This role will be client facing, where you will need to show willingness to work as part of a team and be able to meet deadlines.

Key Requirements -

You will supervise, brief and effectively delegate work to less experienced members of the audit team.Communicate with the audit manager regularly on the audit and make recommendations to them on how our clients can improve their accounting systems and controls.Appraise other members of the team following completion of the jobs worked onKeep up to date with auditing and accounting standards and developments within the profession. Take responsibility for acquiring documenting the requisite CPD.Provide technical support to the charity and not for profit team and clients, through discussions with the partner and manager.

Person Requirements -

ACA or ACCA part qualified with at least 4+ years' experience working for a prominent UK based firm in the capacity of Audit Semi-Senior or Senior.In depth experience of running an audit from the initial planning phase through to completion.Excellent communication and rapport building skillsProven experience of leading and reviewing the work of more junior members of the audit team
