As an Audit Senior, you'll be fully immersed within the experienced audit team, working with managers and directors to deliver audits across a vibrant and diverse client base.
Duties:
Get fully involved in the process, planning and executing audits for our fantastic clients.Lead the onsite audit team to deliver high quality and slick audits.Cultivate long-lasting relationships becoming the go-to for clients whilst you're out on site.Wow clients daily, getting to know their business to deliver great experience.Coach, develop and lead a team of trainees and semi-seniors.Ideal Candidate:
Be ACA / ACCA qualified or part-qualified.Have experience in external audit and a meticulous attention to detail.Have worked on a range of different audits, including owner-managed business.Be tech-savvy, with a knowledge of CCH desirable.Thrive in a collaborative and progressive environment.Love getting to know people and be a fantastic communicator.Benefits:

Support the Corporate Services team, delivering exceptional audit and accounting services.Conduct audit assignments both on-site and remotely, handling technical audits and compliance work for corporate clients.Engage in ad hoc projects, remuneration planning, and VAT work.Review trainee assignments, providing guidance to support their growth.Build and manage client relationships, ensuring high standards in all deliverables.Participate in networking and business development to contribute to the firm's growth.Desired Skills & Experience
ACA or ACCA Qualified with at least 2 years of experience in a practice environment.Strong knowledge of taxes, accounts preparation, and cloud-based accounting software, particularly Xero, CCH etc.Analytical skills to quickly resolve issues and proactively identify opportunities for clients.An approachable personality, with excellent communication and the ability to build trust with clients and colleagues.The firm's ethos is rooted in supporting their people through flexibility, training, and comprehensive benefits, fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and growth. Butler Rose is proud to be working on behalf of a respected and growing accountancy firm in Banbury that's looking to appoint a Qualified Audit Senior to join its busy corporate services team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with strong audit experience to step into a varied and client-facing role. You'll work across a wide range of sectors (including commercial and not-for-profit), taking responsibility for planning, executing, and completing audits, as well as preparing statutory accounts and corporation tax computations.
What you'll be doing:
Planning and delivering audits, from risk assessment through to file completionLeading fieldwork and guiding junior team membersPreparing year-end accounts and tax computationsManaging client relationships and contributing to high-quality service deliverySupporting and mentoring traineesWorking with software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, and CCHWhat we're looking for:
