A fast growing and ambitious top 10 Firm are looking for an Audit Assistant Manager to join their newly refurbished office in Cambridge. The role involves providing on-site assistance on Assurance assignments working on local engagements with a wide variety of sectors including life science and Technology.

Role Responsibilities

Undertaking assignments, including opportunities to lead the on-site element of the work.Drive audit engagements and ensure compliance with standards.Mentor junior staff.Lead client interactions.Identify and resolve audit issues proactively.Streamline processes for improved efficiency and quality.

Personal Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalentPrevious experience of carrying out Assurance-related tasks within a professional services firm.Proven experience in client handling and in producing high-quality Assurances.Experience of analytical review approach desirable.

Role Responsibilities

Lead small audit engagements and assist in the delivery of larger audits across a wide-ranging client portfolio.Plan and execute audits in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS where applicable.Prepare statutory accounts for Limited companies, LLPs, charities, and not-for-profits.Provide assistance on corporation tax matters for a variety of businesses.Maintain direct client contact, building strong working relationships.Work closely with other members of the Corporate Services team to ensure timely and high-quality service delivery.

Personal Requirements

Recently qualified ACA/ACCA (or qualified by experience) finalists will also be considered with support offered to complete qualifications.Demonstrable audit experience in a UK accountancy practice.Strong knowledge of UK GAAP IFRS exposure desirable.Working knowledge of corporation tax and accounts preparation.Experience with CCH software or similar accountancy packages is advantageous.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.Flexible, motivated, and willing to travel occasionally.

Personal Requirements

Currently studying or part-qualified AAT, ACCA, or ACA.Minimum 1 year's recent UK practice experience in external audit.Strong academic background.Familiarity with CCH or similar accounting software desirable.Good understanding of accounts preparation and basic UK tax knowledge beneficial.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Self-motivated, flexible, and keen to travel for client work when required.Full UK driving licence and access to own transport.
