The Role
As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will join a dedicated Financial Accounting & Tax team, focusing on control and compliance. Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring compliance with the month-end timetable and ledger closures across accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger.Preparing and submitting VAT returns.Reconciling and forecasting intercompany balances.Managing and maintaining fixed asset registers, including creation, disposal, depreciation, and annual verification.Preparing GRNI and balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts.Assisting with financial accounting, tax tasks, and supporting wider improvement initiatives.What We're Looking For
To thrive in this role, you will ideally bring:
Progress towards or completion of an AAT qualificationExperience working in a finance team.Proficiency in Excel, with ERP system knowledge being a plus.A proactive attitude and an ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.Key Competencies
