Job description
A fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer focused Category Manager has become available with my client, a fantastic organisation in the Exeter area.The position will cover a wide array of spend categories and work with the wider team to determine the most effective sourcing approach to deliver value and efficiency improvement
Your duties include (but are not limited to):
• Manage the tendering process, negotiation and manage ongoing supplier relationships
• Spend Analysis
• Implement sourcing strategy to identify areas of cost saving and efficiency improvement
• Provide ad hoc project management including performing cost/benefit analysis
• Conduct market engagement, tendering, evaluation, negotiation and contract award activities within the IT or FM category to meet requirements and delivery timelines
• Manage the performance of key suppliers, using appropriate metrics, to improve performance
To be chosen for the role you must possess the following experience:
• A track record of strategic procurement in a range of categories
• Strong communication skills
• Qualifications: You will be degree qualified or working towards your MCIPS qualification or equivalent

Remote work available, Exeter based Office work 2-3 days per week once Covid restrictions are relaxed.
