Job description
Butler Rose is pleased to be working on an exclusive basis to recruit a Head of Finance for a dynamic organisation based in the Tiverton area. The role has arisen due to the high levels of growth the business has produced this year along with their strategic plans moving forward.This is a pivotal role where you will take responsibility for leading a finance team and providing financial information to key stakeholders within the business.
Key duties will include:
• Leading the month end financial reporting process including management accounts production
• Creation of month end reporting files for internal and external review
• Production of high-quality reports for board review and leading discussions on financial performance of operational units and support functions
• Managing the annual audit process including liaison with external auditors
• Leading on budget setting and key involvement in budget cycles.
• Involvement in forecasting and re-forecasting activities
• Taking ownership of commercial pricing activities
• Business partnering with operational departments to monitor and assess performance
• Involvement in ad hoc projects including managing growth targets, business case modelling and M&A activity
• Reviewing current procedures and making relevant improvements where necessary
The successful candidate will be a formally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) who is able to work in a hands-on capacity as well as taking responsibility for a finance team and supporting operational stakeholders. You will have experience working in a high growth organisation, ideally in a private equity backed environment. It would also be advantageous to have experience in either an academic / care background.
