Inter Company Senior AccountantButler Rose is proud to be supporting a global brand with their recruitment for a new role to be based in North Hampshire. Reporting to the Global Manager and working as part of a new and fast-growing team, we are seeking a qualified Accountant with strong technical working knowledge of inter company practice and proven team management skills.
Key responsibilities
• Managing a growing team of 4+
• Responsible for supporting a wide range of accounting tasks to ensure inter company transactions are accurately processed and all inter company accounts are reconciled and agreed with counter parties on a monthly basis,
• Take ownership of the P&L’s and Balance Sheet accounts and pro-actively manage the relevant balance sheet accounts to produce accurate and timely results,
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with our outsourced financial partners, program team colleagues and senior executives of the business, to satisfy their financial needs,
• Ensures adherence to inter company accounting policy through scrutiny of requests, accurate coding provision and approvals,
• Drive standard inter company processes through principles of simplification, standardisation and automation where appropriate,
• Responsible for processing and coordinating period end close activities;
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations including inter company and liaise with balance sheet owners as necessary;
• Prepare Financial & management reports, and ensure compliance with regulations;
• Supervise accounting activity across international legal entities;
• Managing journal processing through working with various teams;
• Preparing monthly/quarterly internal financial statements with actual to budget results and preparing regular operational/financial measurement reports.
The person:
We are seeking a fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who has experience of managing teams ideally within a shared service environment for a global business. The successful candidate will have strong technical working knowledge of inter company practice and of month end close processes ideally alongside experience of working with a new finance system implementation. Candidates should be proactive and driven with strong stakeholder management skills.
