Job description
Butler Rose is supporting a highly ambitious SME with the recruitment of a Finance Manager.The Finance Manager will report into the Financial Controller and will play a fundamental part in overseeing the transactional & financial reporting areas of the finance department during this exciting phase for the business. It’s important that the Finance Manager is meticulous in their approach and strides to improve processes
The Finance Manager should possess excellent leadership capability as the successful applicant will be responsible for guiding and empowering two direct reports.
Additional responsibility covers:
• Development of direct reports
• Maintaining key monthly & quarterly Balance sheet reconciliations.
• Preparing individual & consolidated management accounts to strict deadlines & preparing statutory accounts under IFRS.
• Raising & reviewing payment runs for approval and posting approved payments in the general ledger.
• Preparing and reviewing quarterly & annual VAT and Corporation tax filings.
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Supplier management
• Liaising with auditors / accountants to ensure compliance with accounting/tax regulations.
• Undertake any other adhoc duties required by the Executive leadership team
Person Specification
• ACA/ACCA qualified accountant
• Excellent leader of people with experience of managing or supervising teams
• Ability to use own initiative and make strategic decisions within a fast paced environment
• Good level of technical ability with an up to date knowledge of accounting regulations
