We are recruiting a permanent finance assistant for a well respected and professional business based in Sherborne. The position is a wide and varied finance role that will require at least 3 years experience in a transactional finance role.

The position involves:

• Reconcile Accounts
• Ensuring month end accruals and prepayments are captured accurately
• The set-up of new accounts and products
• The preparation of customer account reconciliations to ensure orders can be released in line with approved credit limits.
• Credit control activities including the chasing of outstanding debt
• Collation, analysis and distribution of daily yields
• Preparation and maintenance of the yields for weekly accounts.
• Purchase and Sales Ledger duties
• Invoicing
• Month end duties
• Financial administration

You will need to be:

• An excellent organiser
• Team player who is able to contribute to the wider team
• Have excellent communication skills
• Able to work to and meet strict reporting deadlines
• Confident when using Excel
• Experience within an accountancy practice desirable however not essential.
• AAT qualified, working towards or QBE
