Job description
Butler Rose is currently working in partnership with a vibrant organisation based in London for a Application Support Specialist on a permanent basis.

As the Application Support Specialist you will provide the organisation with 1st and 2nd line support to the internal and external users of their software, as well as working closely with the cloud infrastructure team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1st and 2nd line support for software products including initial troubleshooting, escalation when required.
• Effective communication of issues and resolutions
• Working with the technical delivery team to build and maintain Linux servers
• Serve as technical resource or an escalation point on user technical issues, such as Linux back-end, networking, and browser and improve processes for support team.
• Help train internal staff on technical and product issues
• Create and maintain internal or client-facing knowledge base

Key Requirements:

• Good working knowledge of Linux distributions
• Excellent trouble-shooting and problem- solving skills
• Ability to priorities
• Familiarity with case management, document management or e-discovery software applications
• Experience with scripting (Bash/PHP/Perl/Python/etc.)
• Experience working with on-premise or cloud- based software applications
