Job description
Butler Rose is pleased to be working in partnership with a business in North London in their search for a Payroll Officer. This is a temporary contract until March 2020 and you will need to be immediately available to start.As the Payroll Officer you will provide a customer focused payroll and benefits service for the business ensuring advice and processing of the payroll is done accurately and within agreed deadlines.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage all aspects of end to end payroll ensuring it is completed within the monthly deadlines
• Audit monthly payroll data and check accuracy and validity of payroll input such as expenses; advances; absence (including sickness, maternity, etc.); monthly payments
• Handling queries and resolving issues quickly
• To investigate queries raised by the HMRC or other 3rd parties
• Provide advice and guidance to staff and managers on the full range of payroll issues
• Liaise with Hr team to ensure a smooth service is delivered
• Adhere to Hr and company rules, policies and processes at all times and keep up to date with legislation and statutory requirements
• Ensure accurate payments to external agencies are made in the most timely and cost effective way
• Any other adhoc duties required
Key attributes required:
• Experience of running a computerised payroll for a large, complex organisation including year end processes
• Solid experience using iTrent payroll system.
• Strong IT skills with intermediate Excel capability
• Keep up to date with financial regulations, policies and procedures.
