Job description
One of Butler Rose's Trusted, Established and Reputable clients is currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to support them during a busy period, whilst they implement a new system.

This individual will be responsible for BAU payroll processing and will be looking after over 250 employees in total, including zero-hour contracts and multiple complex payrolls for individuals on various terms.

The role is to be based in Southampton with paid travel to the Isle of Wight 1-2 days per week and is expected to be a minimum of 5-6 months in duration.

Duties will involve;

• Upload of new HMRC data form HMRC website.
• Running the payroll from start to finish- including importing the timesheets and HR data and entering any new permanent or ad hoc data at employee level.
• Balancing and reconciliation of Payroll and HMRC payment.
• Balancing and reconciliation of all third- party payments including pensions.
• Assessing which employees should be auto enrolled.
• Processing of all HMRC submissions via RTI.
• Accrual of holidays for casuals, part time and FTC workers.
• Accrual of enhanced holiday pay.
• Accrual of casual hours and overtime for the budget pack.
• Produce reports for costs and reason for sickness and overtime and the current months FTE for the Board Pack.
• Entering sickness on the HR system and determining who is to be paid occupational sick pay.
• Answering all employee’s and manager queries with regards to the payroll.
