Job description
Butler Rose are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant on behalf of a Global Business based in South Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will help minimise financial risk to the business position through divisional financial reporting and analysis. You will also look to provide business and financial analysis in all areas of the business to maximise revenue and profit generation whilst maintaining excellent service.

Responsibilities will include:

• To provide divisional financial analysis and reporting of information to management to enable them to make informed decisions about improving company performance.
• Completing key aspects of financial accounting including Payroll, Pension and Bonus.
• Considered key day to day point of contact in Finance for any pension or payroll related query.
• Delivering key aspects of the Budget and Forecasting process on time and with a high degree of accuracy whilst managing the integrity of complex spreadsheets.
• Preparation of Cash Flow, Reconciliation of Bank Statements and ownership and reconciliation of a large number of Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Ensuring all annual statutory employee filing including but not limited to TAS, PSA and P11D’s, are undertaken on time with a high degree of accuracy.
• Ownership of Depreciation and all aspects of Fixed Assets, ensuring assets are maintained correctly on and off the system.
• Preparation and ownership for completing all National Statistic Surveys and declarations, ensuring these are filed and completed in a timely manner.
• Preparation and ownership of the quarterly VAT return
• To support month end reporting to both the Management Accounting & FP&A teams and ensure financial reporting is completed in accordance with objectives.
• To ensure that all other reporting and analysis is robust, consistent, timely and accurate.
• To liaise with both internal and external auditors and to provide information that is consistent with reporting.
• To provide assistance to the Financial Controller as required.
• Duties and responsibilities may increase and / or change as the role evolves.

Skills Required

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified Accountant.
• High level of accounting knowledge with a good understanding of double entry book keeping.
• Ability to produce Budget and Forecast data using complex spreadsheets.
• Comprehensive understanding of employee related taxation and associated deadlines.
• Ability to produce detailed analysis work.
• Good understanding of Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit Pension Schemes.
• Ability to work with large often complex models and be comfortable with data manipulation.
• High attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proactive and keen to add value.
