Full Time


A Bodmin based company with a fantastic reputation within the region is looking for an accountant. You will be assisting them by providing excellent, timely and accurate financial management information together with financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting support.

Key duties will include:

• Providing financial reporting and analysis to a high standard to the management team
• Delivering the daily, weekly and monthly management reporting , including reviewing draft outputs for accuracy and providing commentary.
• Production of MI Pack for Directors
• Undertaking month end & year end procedures
• Annual budgeting and regular forecasting
• Supporting the implementation of excellent financial procedures and policies
• Completing any allocated balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard
• Implementing stock control procedures & undertaking stock take
• Cost accounting, for new and existing products
• Fixed asset register maintenance
• VAT returns
• Preparation of the companies payroll for an external provider

The successful candidate could be either newly fully or part- qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or qualified by experience. What is important is that you have the right skills and attitude to be able to carry out the role effectively.

You will need to have prior experience of managing the financial health of a business, and manufacturing experience would be of benefit. Excellent knowledge of management accounting, cash flow forecasting and budgeting is required along with the ability to prepare financial reports.
