Job description
Butler Rose is currently working with a reputable business in the search for an experienced Payroll Assistant to join their fast paced office in Keynsham, Bristol. This role is a fulltime permanent position.

You will have demonstrable experience within a busy Payroll department doing end to end payroll with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key duties:

• Support the payroll department with all payroll processes on a daily basis
• Reconcile and import timesheets on a weekly basis
• Manual payment requests processed within service level agreement
• Timesheets extracted/uploaded/updated within agreed deadlines
• Reconcile employees expected pay to their actual pay and report any variances.
• Produce and send BACS file to ALBACS
• Liaise with Finance Department to ensure BACS file is approved to ensure employees are paid on the agreed pay day
• Ensure payrolls are exited after payrolls processed to the bank and advise team members that the new period is open for processing
• Test P45 file for production by outsourcers
• Send P46 file to HMRC via Gateway
• Undertake and resolve queries for employees, HMRC and other government bodies within agreed time scales
• Ensure that all employees are paid accurately and on time
• Provide the highest level of customer service
• To ensure that Service Levels are achieved and exceeded where possible

Key attributes required:

• Full knowledge of payroll processes and legislation
• SAP experience is advantageous
• Worked within a large payroll department with high volumes
• Strong attention to detail
• Great communication skills.
