Part Qualified Project Accountant, West London

We are delighted to be supporting an industry leading global business with regards to their recruitment for a Part Qualified Project Accountant to join their team in West London. This role will be responsible for tracking, control and reporting of financial exposure on projects to identify potential financial risks/issues and highlight at the earliest opportunity to key stakeholders. The post holder will proactively work with various stakeholders to resolve any concerns or difficulties with financial performance and will assist in the preparation of the project budget.



Key responsibilities:

• Work with Project Managers, Operations Managers and other stakeholders on all projects to support the various stages of production project life cycle from quotations through to project close.
• Quoting / budgeting – working with stakeholder ensure timely, complete and accurate, using dates and history to challenge/ensure consistency across projects / regions.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Operations managers to challenge project budgets, ensuring costs to date and forecast are accurate and as cost efficient as possible.
• Work with stakeholders to benchmark ‘standard’ build costs on projects and ensure pricing/specification consistency between different projects and regions.
• Ensure that all production project workbooks are maintained to reflect all contracted financial commitments (contracts, change orders, purchase orders etc.) and are reviewed regularly with Project Manager’s to ensure forecasted outturns are in line with current data.
• Undertake monthly reconciliation of project valuation and support the Production Analyst in reconciling project summary to the P&L and in the calculation of work in progress.
• Alert key stakeholders to any material variations and trends through regular status review meetings and monthly finance reviews, enabling good decision making.
• Ensure projects are closed off and invoiced in a timely manner.
• Continue to focus on improving processes and reporting to ensure they fit changes to the business.





The candidate:

We are seeking a career focused part qualified who is actively studying and has expertise within project accounting, financial analysis and who has advanced Excel skills. The role requires a strong business partner who can support a wide range of stakeholders locally and remotely across the business.

We are seeing a self starter who can work as part of a small but effective local finance team, who is driven with excellent communication skills.
