Job description
Butler Rose is currently working with a FTSE business in the search for a Senior Payroll Administrator / Payroller on a 6 month contract basis. The role will initially be based in their office in Surrey and you will need to be immediately available to start this week.

You will have demonstrable experience within a busy Payroll department and be able to provide analytical reports on the payroll. Someone with a key eye for detail and strong Excel skills is essential.

Key responsibilities:

• Create, maintain and update all internal payroll processes for the division.
• Support the payroll department with submitting and processing payroll of 720 four weekly employees, and 130 monthly employees.

• Ensure all relevant checks are done on payroll, send reports out in a timely manner and consolidate inputs from the local operations.

• Support on transactional finance and month end activities such as journal postings.
• Produce monthly payroll accruals and regional journal recharges.
• Calculation of monthly commission payments.
• Produce patrol variance and summary reports for MD.
• Assist management with internal forms for employees.
• Reconciliation of gritting payments, by individual and cost centre.
• Handel any employee payroll queries.
• Maintain a relationship with key Stakeholders and Senior Management.
• Any other payroll duties as required by the business.

Key attributes required:

• Demonstrable payroll experience is essential
• Strong Excel Skills to intermediate level (Vlookups and pivot tables).
• Ability to liaise at stakeholder level and maintain strong working relationships.
• Experience with SAP is desirable.
• Excellent analytical skills and key eye for detail.
• Able to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, within a fast paced environment.

The successful candidate will be a strong payroll administration, with a keen eye for detail and be a Excel user. They will hold experience of working within an administration heavy payroll department where they have produced reports.
