50:50 Accounts & Audit split

Butler Rose public practice are exciting to be representing a well-established accountancy firm in Basingstoke who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Manager. Working from new and modern offices, this role will manage a small team and be responsible for overseeing the audit process for multiple clients.

This role will offer un-capped progression and the chance to work directly with the senior director. You will also receive free on-site parking, private medical insurance and an excellent employee benefit scheme.

Duties:

* Manage, motivate and co-ordinate a team of Audit/Accounts professionals across 3 offices
* Mentor, train and develop audit and accounts staff
* The administration, preparation and review of accounts production for a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited company's,
* To ensure the Audit/Accounts compliance cycle is completed on time each year
* Planning, managing and reviewing audit engagements
* Working with outsourcing, payroll and tax department colleagues on Audit/Accounts related issues
* Assisting the Tax Director with Audit/Accounts aspects of Tax investigation work
* Attend client meetings, build and develop good working relationships with clients and colleagues
* Internal practice management including budgets, WIP levels, timely billing, fee projections and bill preparation

Requirements:

* ACA / ACCA Qualified
* 5+ years of Accounts preparation experience and 2+ years of experience of review of accounts preparation work
* Experience of leading and managing audit teams
* Demonstrate a good level of practical experience and a thorough understanding of risk based auditing
