Basingstoke based

50:50 Accounts & Audit split
Butler Rose public practice are exciting to be representing a well-established accountancy firm in Basingstoke who are looking to recruit an Accounts & Audit Manager. Working from new and modern offices, this role will manage a small team and be responsible for overseeing the audit process for multiple clients.
This role will offer un-capped progression and the chance to work directly with the senior director. You will also receive free on-site parking, private medical insurance and an excellent employee benefit scheme.
Duties:
Manage, motivate and co-ordinate a team of Audit/Accounts professionals across 3 offices
Mentor, train and develop audit and accounts staff
The administration, preparation and review of accounts production for a varied portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships and limited company's,
To ensure the Audit/Accounts compliance cycle is completed on time each year
Planning, managing and reviewing audit engagements
Working with outsourcing, payroll and tax department colleagues on Audit/Accounts related issues
Assisting the Tax Director with Audit/Accounts aspects of Tax investigation work
Attend client meetings, build and develop good working relationships with clients and colleagues
Internal practice management including budgets, WIP levels, timely billing, fee projections and bill preparation
Requirements:
ACA / ACCA Qualified
5+ years of Accounts preparation experience and 2+ years of experience of review of accounts preparation work
Experience of leading and managing audit teams
Demonstrate a good level of practical experience and a thorough understanding of risk based auditing
