Accounts & Audit Manager
Wimbledon, South London
£55,000 to £70,000
Butler Rose, public practice is delighted to be supporting our client, a well-known, established, and progressive medium sized firm of chartered accountants based in the heart of Wimbledon that are eager to appoint a highly skilled, well qualified, and experienced Accounts & Audit Manager to complement the management team, reporting directly to the firm's partners
Role Requirements -
The role would suit someone with a proven track record in accounts preparation & audit and who is currently managing a client base with work including audits & accounts, wishing to make a change, and move to a business where they will be developed and have a clear progression path.
Plan and manage assignments effectively and within the agreed timescale
Play a key role in the management team, including strategic decisions, staff planning, and client service
Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, such as money laundering checks etc
Deliver assurance services in accordance with the principles of the firm's Client Service Framework
Play an active role in winning new clients, through networking, business development and initial meetings with potential new clients
Manage key client relationships and expectations
Monitor budgets and agree fees for each engagement
Be responsible for managing audit teams on various assignments
Motivating, developing and coaching the audit team and conducting evaluations of staff performance
Assist in the production of the proposals and presentations for new work.
Develop network of contacts and cross-sell services
Person Requirements -
ACA or ACCA qualified, with at least 3+ years post qualification experience in a senior/manager level accounts and audit capacity
Proven client management experience
Computer literate with knowledge of accounts packages, such as IRIS, SAGE, EXCEL, and Outlook for client interaction.
Technical and industry sector expertise, with experience of taking responsibility for performance appraisal and development.
Excellent communication skills with clients, including timely response to all queries, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships.
Ability to mentor, motivate and support the audit and accounts team, with clear instructions, deadlines, and help when needed.
