Job description
Butler Rose are delighted to be assisting a successful Wellington (Somerset) business with the requirement for a Project Buyer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a client that Butler Rose has partnered with many times before, that offer fantastic career development, whilst working in a well-established team.

The role would either suit an established Buyer, or a junior procurement/supply chain professional keen to take the next step in their career. Full training can be provided.

Duties include:

* Understand customer requirements and specifications.
* Identify potential suppliers and obtain best pricing, lead time and MOQ.
* Work cross functionally to evaluate potential suppliers
* Recommend preferred suppliers taking account of the overall purchasing strategy.
* Manage any new supplier set ups.
* Act on and resolve problems and delays, communicating and escalating issues that may impact the project timeline.
* Ensure MRP system parameters are properly updated.
* Provide cover and assistance to the wider Procurement team as required
* Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers
* Attend Supplier Review meetings.

Key skills/experience required:

* Organised, systematic and computer literate.
* Ability to work independently and cross functionally.
* Attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
* Excellent analytical skills.
* Experience of Purchasing and Supply Chain Management (desirable)
